Veteran's Assistance :

Members can offer their assistance by:

• Providing emotional support and cheerful companionship while attending to the hospitalized, handicapped and homebound veterans' physical comforts.
• Volunteering to help out in the Auxiliary's gift shops and holiday parties at the locally supported VA home/hospital.
• Creating and sewing Holiday gift bags to stuff and deliver during the holiday seasons.
• Help veteran's shop for holidays and also shop for presents to present to the veteran's during the holidays.
• Working with legislators and congressmen to pass legislation to increase government benefits and assistance for veterans.
• Purchasing essential equipment and supplies to upgrade and facilitate the level of care provided in veterans' facilities.
• Furnishing job assistance, transportation, food, or clothing to needy, handicapped and homeless veterans.

Kitchen Assistance :

Members are often asked to provide assistance with Unit fundraisers in which help is needed by:

• Assisting in setting-up the Legion hall for functions.
• Helping with food preparation and clean-up.
• Assisting in food preparation and distribution during Bingo functions.
• Donating soup and baked goods for Bingo functions.

Memorial and Veteran's Day :

Members have the opportunity to participate with the Legion family (Legion, SAL and Auxiliary) in local services to remember and honor our current military families and veterans.

Auxiliary Meetings :
Contribute your knowledge and participate as an officer, committee chairman, committee member, or as a regular member during our meetings on the second Monday of each month (except July) at 7:30pm at the Post Home.
